Acclaimed Scottish singer-songwriter and composer Siobhan Wilson presents the world premiere of FLOWERCORE, an immersive and intimate gig theatre show exploring under-told tales of Scotland’s wildflowers through music and projection.

Across 60 minutes, Wilson and special musical guests including Niamh Corkey and Charm of Finches play the notes of Scotland’s untamed spaces and soils, alongside an immersive projection by Double Take Projections featuring videography by Ewan Grant (Edge Photography). The projection features illustrations, video and photography by a range of artists working in the Scottish landscape - including Libby Walker (Landscape Artist of the Year finalist 2026).

From pop songs with instructions on how to grow a wildflower meadow to cinematic arrangements of songs inspired by daffodils, snowdrops, herb-roberts, and primroses, FLOWERCORE sews together a diverse palette of songwriting techniques and textures within the composition.

The genesis of FLOWERCORE traces back to a personal wildflower diary kept by Wilson while soul-searching in the Scottish countryside alongside her dog McTavish. The diary includes thoughts, lyrics and a gallery of sketches of the flowers she discovered. These observations eventually blossomed into a series of musical recordings of the same name as the show, which have shaped the tactile staging and presentation of the work as a fully grown stage show.

Singer-songwriter/composer Siobhan Wilson grew up in Elgin, Scotland. A trained cellist, singer, composer and pianist from St Mary’s Music School of Edinburgh. Siobhan has 15 years of live music performance and studio-production experience internationally, including in New York, Paris, Budapest and Scotland.

After a five-year stay in Paris, she returned to Scotland, where she has since been touring internationally, writing, performing, composing and producing soundtracks for highly acclaimed film and television productions. Siobhan has also been nominated for awards in her video game scoring and songwriting.

Her solo albums have been played extensively across national and international radio and have been shortlisted for the Scottish Album of the Year (SAY Award), drawing attention from the likes of Rolling Stone Magazine and BBC Radio’s Lauren Laverne (BBC Radio 6 Music).

Siobhan Wilson's FLOWERCORE will run at Basement at The Gilded Saloon (Venue 44) from 17th to 22nd August 2026 at 15:00. For more information and to book tickets, visit edfringe.com
