Greenwich Peninsula is set to become the long-term home of Secret Cinema, as the global immersive entertainment company lays out plans for a proposed flagship venue in the heart of the riverside neighbourhood, opening in late 2026.

Already home to The O2 and Design District, and attracting more than 24 million visitors annually, Greenwich Peninsula continues to evolve as a riverside destination for culture and entertainment. Secret Cinema’s plans for a long-term home for up to 10 years at Greenwich Peninsula represent the next step in the Peninsula’s continued growth.

For over 18 years, Secret Cinema has produced some of the world's most iconic immersive experiences and reignited fandom for more than 1.5 million people worldwide. In its new flagship home in one of London’s most iconic riverside locations, Secret Cinema will transport fans beyond the big screen to live out their favourite movies and cultural moments with the delivery of a bespoke world-class venue.

A short walk from North Greenwich station and set along the Thames, the plans would see the venue become a destination for immersive theatrical experiences, attracting Londoners and visitors from across the UK and beyond. Surrounded by a thriving 150-acre riverside neighbourhood – including Canteen Food Hall & Bar, Firepit Art Gallery, a free public art trail and Design District – Secret Cinema will join the Peninsula’s growing cultural and creative offer.

The Peninsula is also home to more than 6,000 residents, 180 businesses, bars, cafes and restaurants, and London's only rooftop basketball court. Greenwich Peninsula is being developed by Knight Dragon, in partnership with the Greater London Authority.
