One magician. One first date. An entire audience along for the ride.

From the moment Jack Kenyon takes the stage, magic is in the air; expect drinks materialising from thin air, playing cards being eerily romantic, and the newspaper agony aunt who knows more than is humanly possible.

Over 45 minutes, Table for Two delivers not only jaw-dropping magic but also touching moments which shift the focus from magician to audience. As a spectator steps into the role of Jack's 'date' for the evening, the show captures all the nervous anticipation, surprising moments, and magic of a genuine encounter - blending storytelling, mentalism, and sleight of hand into something truly unforgettable.

Whilst performed solely by Jack, the concept for Table for Two was created by his long-term partner Isabelle Dooley-Carmichael. It’s an unconventional concept: a different date each night, but Isabelle envisioned moving away from a traditional magic show and creating something intimate and memorable to captivate the Edinburgh Festival Fringe audiences. This unique concept means that no two nights can ever be quite the same.

Founded by Jack and Isabelle, Jack Kenyon Magic is made up of a small but powerful duo driven by a passion for pushing the boundaries of magic and creating shows audiences won't forget. As a member of the prestigious Magic Circle, Jack brings a mastery of the art which, when combined with Isabelle's love for live entertainment, results in performances that feel both bold and deeply relatable.

Table for Two marks their debut at Edinburgh Festival Fringe with a show that promises to redefine what audiences expect from magic.

Table for Two runs at Haldane Theatre at theSpace @ Surgeons' Hall (Venue 53) from 7th to 29th August 2026 at 21:40. For more information and to book tickets, visit edfringe.com
